In Memory of Dottie Rambo
As Cheryl and I were preparing for our Happy Mothers Day with our children, our hearts were saddened when we received a call with the news about the death of our dear friend and favorite songwriter Dottie Rambo. My mind immediately took me back to the last show we did together. I honored her as I played "Behold The Lamb", and Dottie's expression was as though she was soon to behold our Lord. We have lost someone who has brought a glimpse of Heaven into our lives through her anointed gift of songwriting. Now God as taken her to a higher level where her REWARD is far better than any earthly AWARD. No more hurting no more pain but just rejoicing in her new body. Praise God!
Cheryl and I have been asked to appear on a television show that will remember Dottie with all our love and appreciation. This will be held Monday the 12th at 12 noon at Jim and Lori Bakker's Morningside in Blue Eye, Missouri. (Dottie ministered two weeks ago on this same show.) You are invited to attend and be a part of this celebration of her Heavenly promotion.
We are looking forward to playing and singing some of Dottie Rambo's great songs such as "He Looked Beyond My Fault and Saw My Need", "Behold The Lamb" and a medley of songs including "We Shall Behold Him". It will be a glorious time of rejoicing and blessing the Lord for a servant gone home.
If you have any thoughts of songs or memories of Ms. Dottie feel free to share them with us and our other readers.
Please keep her family and those who were injured in the accident in your thoughts and prayers.
